What a night!! As we were watching tv last night, I noticed the house was getting warmer and warmer. It reached 83 degrees and I was checking everything on the ac. Everything looked ok. At 85 degrees I knew we were in trouble. The ac was not cooling even though it was running constantly. I called our home warranty company and they said someone would be out the next day.
We had every fan we own running to try to keep cool. I did not get much sleep. It was cooler outside than inside. We opened the windows in the bedroom and had fans running. I did not use any cover at all.
This morning I called the contractor whose number the warranty company gave me. He said he' d be out sometime this am. I turned on the attic fan .( Which I could not use last night because of my husband. He gets cool much quicker than I because of his kidney failure). It was much cooler outside this morning so the attic fan pulled in all that good cool air and cooled the house down a lot.
The contractor came at 10 am and had the ac fixed in about 20 minutes. Thank you, God. This experience has made me keenly aware of what the poor people in the New Orleans area and Parts of Mississippi that were affected by the Hurricane Issac are going through. May god bless them and may he help get the electricity on for them. And please God bless those who lost their homes to floods.
A blog about the life we are now living. My husband and I are in our seventies. Every age brings new experiences. We raised our family of three sons and now enjoy them as adults with their own families. We love our wonderful daughter's in law, our nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and one on the way. Family is everything. We thank God for them all.
Welcome to my blog.

Our youngest son and family just left this morning heading back to Tennessee after spending a week us. And what a week it was. They along with the help of the other two sons replaced our dining room floor. This floor has been in disrepair since last October.
We had a freezer go bad on us and had to fight with Sears and then the manufacturer Midea for eight months to finally get a partial replacement cost of the floor. Midea is a horrible company as is Sears to get anything replaced. The freezer was built wrong and totally ruined our floor when it burst. That's a whole nother story!
Michael and Jenna also painted our dining room. What a blessing! They then took us to Destin, Florida for a wonderful vacation. We loved watching and playing on the beach with our three grandsons, ages five, three and 15 months. Wish we had some of that energy! So, life's journey goes on. We'll see what God has planned for us next.
